We are committed to empowering individuals, especially women, through initiatives that promote financial inclusion, social cohesion, and financial literacy.
One of the ways IDC is achieving this goal is through the promotion of women’s economic empowerment. Women are often underrepresented in the workforce, and their economic potential is often untapped. We recognize that empowering women economically is crucial to reducing poverty, promoting gender equality, and improving access to education and healthcare.
To this end, we initiated traditional programs such as the Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA). Through VSLAs, women can gain access to capital and start their businesses, improving their income and financial independence.
IDC also recognizes the importance of financial literacy. Many individuals, especially women, lack the financial knowledge necessary to manage their finances effectively. IDC provides financial literacy training to individuals and groups to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to make informed financial decisions.
In addition to promoting women’s economic empowerment and financial literacy, IDC also promotes social cohesion. By working with local stakeholders, IDC ensures that its interventions are sustainable and have a positive impact on the community. This collaboration promotes social cohesion and encourages community involvement in the development processes. By doing so, we are making significant strides towards achieving social development and reducing poverty.
